Many dell customers have purchased the new Dell Inspiron M731R and they hate Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. After contacting dell they  have been discouraged from downgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional or even Windows 7 basic as the new dell inspiron doesn’t support windows 7 and only works with windows 8 or windows 8.1 pro…

So not true, we have had a few clients already that have purchased the dell inspiron m731r and we have discovered the drivers needed to successfully install Windows 7 64bit version. We are offering them here for download for $40.00 dollars US.

Organizing the Start / Programs Listing

As you add more and more programs, the listing of them in Start / Programs can get fairly long. One solution is to categorize your programs into several groups, create a folder for those groups, and move the shortcuts to those folders.

Easy Access to Folders from the Toolbar

You can quickly access commonly used folders from your Toolbar:

  1. Right click on an open area of the Toolbar
  2. Select Toolbars / New Toolbar
  3. Browse to the directory you want to add
  4. Now on the toolbar you will see the name of that folder displayed.
  5. Click on the >> to open any sub-folders as well.

Internet Explorer: Restoring Ability to Save Graphics as JPGs

Many Internet Explorer users have had this very same problem, that they can’t save files a JPG’s (only Bitmap). It can be caused by  a number of reasons or errors however; first try emptying your Temporary Internet Files by doing the following,

Tools / Internet Options / Delete Files button

Now if that doesn’t work, try clicking in the Settings button / View Objects button and remove any files that show as Damaged or Unknown

Internet Explorer – Clearing Previous Entries from the Drop Down List

After browsing the internet for awhile you start to build a list of websites in your address bar, however If you want to clear the list of entries that shows up in the drop down list of the address bar, do the following;

  1. Go to Tools / Internet Options
  2. Click on the Content tab
  3. Click on the AutoComplete button
  4. At least highlight Web Addresses
  5. Click on Clear Forms
