How to speed up Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer Tips Posted by Shawn DesRochers September 4th, 2007With this hack you can increase the speed of Internet Explorer 5.5 to Internet Explorer 7 by simply modifying your computer registry. Always be sure to export your registry first before making any changes as always.
We are not held reliable if you break or damage your system. This has been tested on Internet Explorer 7.
What this registry hack does is - it increases the default connection of Internet Explorer from 2 to 6 which in return will increase your browsers speed!
Follow the steps exactly!
Step 1: Go to -> Start -> Run – and type “Regedit” in the open dialogue box and hit OK.
Step 2: On the left hand side of the registry editor, click the + sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand the list of folders and expanded the following folders as well Software, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion.

Step 3: Now click on Internet Settings so you can view its contents.
Step 4: Now on the right hand side of the registry look for the following two values: “MaxConnectionsPerServer” and “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server”
If these values are present, right-click on the first value “MaxConnectionsPerServer”, and select “Modify” from the drop-down menu, click “Decimal”, and set the Value field to 6.
Do the same thing for “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server,” right-click on “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server,” and select “Modify” from the drop-down menu, click “Decimal”, and set the value to 6.
You’re done!
But don’t worry if these values aren’t present, keep reading!
Step 5: If these lines or values are not listed, right-click in the right hand column of “Regedit,” and click “New,” and then click “DWORD”.
Step 6: Now enter the value name “MaxConnectionsPerServer,” of the new “DWORD Value” and press Enter. The new value should now appear in the Regedit’s right hand column.
Step 7: Now right click “MaxConnectionsPerServer,” and click “Modify”.
Step 8: Be sure to select “Decimal” from the options and set the “Value field” to 6, then click OK.
Step 9: Right click in the right hand column again of “Regedit,” and click “New,” and then click “DWORD”.
Step 10: Now enter the value name “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server,” of the new “DWORD Value” and press Enter.
The new value should now appear in the Regedit’s right hand column.
Step 11: Now right click “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server,” and click “Modify”.
Step 12: Be sure to select “Decimal” from the options and set the “Value field” to 6, then click OK.
Step 13: Now close “Regedt,” and reboot your computer.
Internet Explorer should be moving much faster, enjoy!
