like other versions of Microsoft windows you need to enable the option to view hidden files or hidden system files. So in this tutorial we’ will show you how to do this in Windows Vista.

  1. Go to Start Click on the the Control Panel / Folders icon
  2. Click on the View tab at the top
  3. Check or uncheck the options you want

The settings you need to change to view hidden files or system files are the following:

  1. Check Show hidden files and folders
  2. Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
  3. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files

You will recieve a warning when you do the last one, simply select ok and your done.

When your done editing or removing files, simply go through the above steps turning those three above options back on.
