Help I lost my desktop – how to Restore a Lost Desktop

This has happened to countless users of Windows. You’re working away, browsing the internet and all of the sudden your computer freezes up.

Your computer starts to recover but your desktop hasn’t fully come back and your lost at what to do.

If you ever lose the Desktop but Explorer is still running and the Start Button is still visible you can do this to bring it back.

Go to Start -> Click Run and Type a period “.” and then press OK

If your Start button isn’t visible – trying hitting the Windows Logo key on your keyboard to get the start menu to pop-up and do the above steps.
