Help! How do I find the Win9X Product Key
Thursday, August 30, 2007 22:04If you need to reinstall your operating system, but can’t find the Windows 95 or Windows 98 product key, don’t worry. I’ll show you how to retrieve it.
It’s really not lost. It’s actually stored on your computer. Simply follow the instructions below to retrieve it.
But, be sure to write the product key down and keep it in a safe place, or tape it on top of your OEM Windows 95/98 disk for safe keeping.
This way you won’t go crazy searching for it.
Go to Start -> Run and type in the following line and hit ok.
C:\Windows\Command\Find /I “ProductKey” C:\Windows\System.dat
Now be sure to write it down exactly as it appears, and store it in a safe place.

I’ve learned result-oriented things as a result of your weblog. One other thing I’d like to say is the fact that newer personal computer os’s have a tendency to allow a lot more memory to be played with, but they additionally demand more memory simply to perform. If someone’s computer could not handle a lot more memory and the newest software requires that memory increase, it is usually the time to shop for a new Computer. Thanks
