Many users of Windows Vista don’t care for the big bulky icons displayed across the desktop. They rather use the default size their accustomed too, rather then cluttering up their beautiful desktop wallpaper with these over size icons.

Well you can change the size of your desktop icons in Windows Vista by Right clicking on the ‘Desktop’ and then select ‘View’ and set it to use ‘Classic Icons’ instead.

Method Two

Another way of setting the desktop icon size in Windows Vista is to do the following.

  1. Press and hold down the “Control key,” while viewing the Desktop.
  2. Next use the scroll wheel on your mouse to make the icons larger or smaller by scrolling the mouse wheel in any direction.
  3. This will allow you to set the “Desktop Icons,” to the desired size you prefer with more control.
