I agree with shawn.one more thing, you saying that beep sound annoying so i have to turn off.In case your monitor is not getting sufficient power, if you switch of your beep sound you can’t identify the fault whether it is in cpu or monitor…..So for this purpose we need the beep sound..

Actually, that registry key is ALREADY set to “NO”, but all the various and sometimes annoying sounds still play. To truly customize, you have to drill down through [Control Panel | Sounds & Audio Devs] and choose whatever sounds you prefer for each event (or choose NONE to have no sound play for a particular event). Trouble is, while that offers much flexibility, it STILL won’t allow me to disable the idiotic DING that occurs whenever I CUT text in various programs. I cannot find an option to DISABLE the bloody CUT and COPY DING. Any idea where Gates hid that stupid option?

Just create a wav file of no sound for .5 second and change the Windows Balloon sound in the Control Panel to this new wav file.
