During the upgrade to Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 (Service Pack 1), Vista makes an archive / backup of all the files it is upgrading. This is in case you want to uninstall the Service Pack if your having troubles with your computer for any reason.

However for those users who are not having any issues with Windows Vista SP1, and want to gain extra disk space and clean up their hard drive by removing the backup files click read more.
