Taking Ownership Of a Folder in Windows XP

Follow the steps below to take ownership again of a folder in Windows XP.
- Log on with an account that has administrator rights
- Right click on the folder and Select Properties
- Click on the Security tab
- Next Click on the Advanced button.
- Click on the Owner tab
- In the list of Names, click on your name To take ownership, click on Replace owner on sub containers and objects
- Click OK and click Yes to save changes.
Thats it your done!
