Changing My Pictures and My Music in Windows Vista
Performance Tips, Registry Tips, Windows Vista Tips Posted by Shawn DesRochers April 8th, 2009Normally, when you open up the Start Menu, below Documents, is shown My Pictures and My Music. If you want, you can change these to any other locations you may use more frequently by doing the following.

- Click Start then All Programs, then Applications – Click Run and type -> Regedit and hit OK.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
- On the right side, change the location for My Pictures and My Music.
- This new location will now show on the start menu
