How to Edit the Boot.ini file Windows XP
Posted by Shawn DesRochers on July 29th, 2009There can be many reasons why you need to edit the Boot.ini file, my personal favorite is to remove programs that I don’t use or want installed on my Windows XP like that pesky MSN Messenger.
The boot.ini file is a simple text file that is on the root of the boot drive.
You can edit this with any plain text editor like Notepad (may need to unhide the file first)
