Turning Off Vista’s Built-In CD Burning
Uncategorized Posted by Shawn DesRochers October 4th, 2009Since most computers come with 3rd party programs that are easier to use than Vista’s CD/DVD burning, you can turn this off with a simple registry edit.
- Start Regedit
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
- Create a new DWORD key NoCDBurning
- Give it a value of 1
- Log off and back on again
If you don’t feel comfortable editing the registry values you can download it from here: Download Reg File
