How to repair a Corrupted Winsock Registry Entry Windows Vista

If you suspect you have a corrupted Winsock Registry Entry (one of the symptoms is that you can’t connect to the Internet), or access your local network properties run the following to repair your winsock:

- Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Then Run -> Type cmd and hit OK!
- In the dos screen type the following:
- netsh winsock reset
- When complete type ->exit and then reboot
