Found this post useful? Buy me a coffee.There can be many reasons why you need to edit the Boot.ini file, my personal favorite is to remove programs that I don’t use or want installed on my Windows XP like that pesky MSN Messenger.
The boot.ini file is a simple text file that is on the root of the boot drive.
You can edit this with any plain text editor like Notepad (may need to unhide the file first)
